His first venture was introducing video rental stores to Puerto Rico as the founder of Televideo, the island’s first video store franchise. In the early 1990s, Joaquin took charge of the Matos family thoroughbred farm, Potrero Matos, in Guayama, where he achieved great success as a farmer and horse breeder. Building on his entrepreneurial drive, he later conceptualized and developed El Legado Golf Resort, followed by his instrumental role in the creation of Royal Isabela Golf Resort in Isabela, Puerto Rico. Today, Joaquin serves as the Consigliere and Co-Founder of JL Marketing Firm, offering strategic insight, financial guidance, and visionary leadership to the firm and its clients.

Javier A. López Matos is the founder and driving force behind JL Marketing Firm, a Puerto Rico-based digital marketing agency established in 2000. A visionary entrepreneur and father of four, Javier blends business insight with creativity and innovation. Over the years, he has led marketing initiatives for clients in construction, tourism, hospitality, real estate, and retail across Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

A professional photographer and videographer, Javier is also a co-producer of major nautical and lifestyle events throughout the Caribbean.
